Magnetic Mask - Layering Example

So heres the deal - since I bought my new Mac Mini (which is an absolutely sexy little beast if I do say so myself) I have been looking for projects to explore the abilities of the magnetic mask. I love how it can basically key out/invert mask to allow for some really cool layering examples.

In the video I simply took a 40 second video of me walking to a spot then walking to the left. I then came back, found the spot, and then walked to the right. I was careful to try and be in the same spot. Then I layered the videos on top of one another and then magnetic masked the video on the top, inverted the mask and it made me appear to ‘split’ and walk in different directions.

Now - how am I going to try and use this ability? Lets just say that it will be a video which explore the concept of multiple timelines.
